.. of Personal Style

Beautiful "vintage" iPhone 8 GB 3G I believe. Sometimes, well, a lot of the time, I wish we weren't so quick to dismiss things. I still have my iPhone 3GS because it still works. And I will keep it as long as it continues to work.

This is one of the old silver models that has been in someone's pocket with a set of keys everyday for 3 years. And I think it's beautiful. It has worn in like a good pair of shoes or a quality leather jacket. It suits the man who's carrying it. It's HIS not some homogenous piece of hardware.

This reminds me of something else too. Doesn't everyone know the whole case industry is a sham? It's a marketing ploy. Buy the brand new something you stand an excellent chance of seeing some 13 year old carrying then put a case on it of your choosing to make it "individual", a case which in all honestly has been proven to damage the phone. I have never put a case on any of my electronic devices. We're talking cell phones, laptops, cameras, and you know what they've all survived! *gasp* The cases are actually what causes your phone to crack... no bullshit.

I've kicked my phone down an escalator, dropped my camera in the toilet (don't ask), and knocked my laptop off a chest-high table onto a concrete floor all causing barely a dent. Don't be so quick to sanitize and protect your belongings and their inherent quality might actually surprise you.
