LOVE 5 inch and up

Love her hair.

Love her style.

All three of her most recent posts have me lusting after something.

I've been wanting a really light and airy sweater (oxymoron. I mean you're not supposed to sweat in something light and airy are you).

I've been looking at these...

Free People, Madewell, Vince, Vince all via Shopbop.

Then there's this little post it...

I don't know if I'd wear it. I don't even know what it IS. Well, I know what it is, it's a Maison Martin Margiela Plexi Necklace but, that doesn't help me with what it is, you know, existentially.

Three's a crowd!

A happy little diddy from the Zara sale. I saw it on Atlantic-Pacific, and on the Zara wesbite. Of course I want it but, alas, cankles.

I assume "5 inch and up" is a reference to her preferred heel height and not her dating requirements but, either way, I'm a fan.

.. of Style Inspiration

The only thing I love getting a peak into more than other people's houses in general is their shoe collections because it's one thing to see a shoe in a store and think

"wow, how fantastic is that? I wonder what kind of life I would have to lead to justify that shoe."

But seeing people's real collections is exciting because they've acually MADE the purchases. They saw those shoes in the store and justified buying them. That has to say something about that person right? Are all their shoes heels? Single. Only own one pair of heels? Don't get out much. All sneakers? Probably healthier than I am (at this moment I do not own one pair of sneakers... not one). Crocs? Dirty hippie.

Speaking of... ever heard that joke from 30 rock? No?? In the words of Alec Baldwin, never go with a hippie to a second location. Even if that location is their closet. ESPECIALLY if that location is their closet.

I digress.

Pink Horrorshow keepin' it real REAL...

Alexa Chung this weekend...

The very last push I didn't really need at all needed to get this...

For the record, I think Anthropologie is an over-priced hot mess. Will that stop me? NO! No I say! For the only leather jacket I have is over 10 years old and covered in mold. Oh that rhymes.

*singing*

10 years old covered in mold!

saw this jacket and now I'm sold!

*end singing*

I blame the stupid tear-down house I live in right now. Stupid basement. Stupid water. Stupid house. Now I'm moving and I'm getting a new leather jacket! Fun times!

In other news I'm headed to Zara in Manhattan this weekend and I'm kind of upset their sale is still going on. I have a Zara in the mall near me but, they don't always get the best stuff and obviously Manhattan gets everything and it's not that I don't enjoy a good sale! I mean I'm only human. I just didn't want the store to be crazy disorganized and busy. Those are the two main reasons I don't shop in Manhattan on the regular. Going anyway with ma girrrrls. Still excited.

.. of Closets

I keep a crazy amount of files on my computer sickeningly organized with inspiration photos...

weight loss inspiration (rarely looked at)

style inspiration (updated daily)

hair inspiration (stylist never gets that right no matter how many pictures I present. I've even handed over pictures OF MYSELF when I liked my hair. Still. Nothing.)

and home inspiration

Once upon a time when I had my own apartment this was my favorite thing to do, decorate my home. Today, I have NOOOO time for that shit. I don't even own a chair. No art on the walls save for some photos of me and my honey. A sofa that doubles as a bed and never as a sofa. And a refurbished coffee table that used to be a bench for the kitchen table when I was a kid. Love that one. As for the rest? Pitiful.

Soooo I use my inspiration folder to keep hope alive. I highly recommend it.

The only problem is recently I've been saving photos mostly of closets...

Fabulous idea for shoe/bag/hat/anything storage and totally achievable with this little devil...

Only $129 and I have been lusting after it for a hot minute aka years.

So the problem with saving mostly pictures of closets is that my closet already looks like this...

I had some leftover metro shelving from a project and they made perfect clothing storage. They're fully adjustable and come in black or silver to match all your decorating needs.

It's highly organized and now it's even more organized. I figured out that the shirts look better if they're color coded! Very exciting revelation. I'm pretty happy with it. What I do need to be saving photos of? Oh, chairs... curtains... furniture and decorations of ANY KIND will do!
