Snooki sans makeup. She's actually super cute! If she didn't have such an atrocious personality I might make her my new pocket pal. As it is I'll stick with Christine Centenera.

.. of Hair Inspiration

It's about this time of year, this dreary, depressing, I'm bundled up in leggings and a turtleneck and I like it time of year that I always start thinking about changing up my look.

I only get my hair cut twice a year in October (before the holidays) and April (for my birthday) which gives me plenty of time to think of new ideas.

I just saw this posted on because im addicted...

and I know ombre hair is supposed to be 'over' now but that just means that now is the right time to do it.

I'm always torn between naturally messy and sleek and shiny.

Of course there is always the lingering doubt about the length. Maybe shorter?

That is Zelda Williams by the way. Notice any resemblance?

Then there's the bang issue... no not that one. This one.

But since bangs are always a disaster there is always the layers option.

My hair hasn't been that full since the 5th grade but it's fine.

My plan is to combine them all. Layered, ombre hair with bangs, worn naturally on days off and sleek and shiny for going out. Yes?

I'm definitely cutting it because I'm starting to look like 1 of 3 wives and if your hair is past your rib cage you should cut yours too. Trust me.

So either way decisions will be made and hair will be cut and styled and hopefully, in April, it will not be raining anymore.

This is a behind the scenes shot from a Diesel ad campaign.

What I find interesting though is actually not the clothing or shoes prepared for the shoot but the stylist's shoes!

A pair similar to these was recently deemed a weapon and subsequently banned from airports.

Speaking of the statement coat... when is it okay to wear real fur? Repeat offenders, the Olsens, have me wondering is it ever okay?

So I've been working on the wedding ring. And I use the term "the" loosely as in I've been working on narrowing it down to 3 actually.

Maybe 4.

A girl needs options okay! You want me to wear that shit everyday I'm gonna need options.

This is what I have so far.

Amazing obviously, and what I've always wanted. 3 or 4 row pave diamond eternity band set in platinum.

Then, I was introduced to Arik Kastan and consequently Roseark through a magazine and fell in love with this puppy...

As well as it's equally fabulous counterpart...

Both are rough diamonds, unpolished and set in rose gold. Sparkly diamonds have seemed too much ever since. However, maybe a little of both is in order?

And THAT led me to Henri Daussi and his eternity collection...

mmm yummy.

Of course because I have a job I also need a plain band. Wouldn't want to go overboard now would we...

I love it when fashion comes up with new slang that quickly spreads around the globe and I'm hoping this one is a sure thing.

It's a slight variation of business on the top party on the bottom. It could also be considered a version of high/low dressing. Instead of just mixing expensive pieces with H&M finds you're also contrasting more formal attire (cashmere sweaters, leather jackets, clean sneakers) with pajamas basically. I love the whole approachable vibe it gives off.

One of the keys to great style, I think, is to always have something in your look that is slightly... off. Call it "one of these things is not like the other". Which one is it? Can you tell? And you shouldn't really be able to. Wearing a full on suit? Pair it with sneakers. Sweatpants and a hoodie? Throw on a sport coat. Nothing that's newer than 5 years? Whip out that Rolex. People will think you're an internet billionaire. It'll be fun.

For reference, the female version...

Military jackets (considered a perma-trend like the color black, not to be confused with a perma-tan) can veer toward the extremely unsexy due to their color (dull green) and traditionally bulky, thick material. It doesn't have to be this way though. We've always loved a man in uniform so why not a woman?

Three cheers for women in the military! Though I'm sure this is not what they had in mind...

Christine Centenera

Olivia Palermo

The easiest way to wear any military trend in my opinion is to contrast it with something feminine. Getting dressed follows the same age old rules of makeup. Bold lip? Leave your eyes alone. Liquid liner, false lashes, and a bold brow? Better stick with a neutral pout.

Throwing on a military jacket and don't want to look like one of the boys? Leopard booties, ruffle blouse, and a bright red skirt... not all at once please.

"YesDrillSergeant" green can also be worn casual but be careful not to make it sloppy. Again opposites provide balance. Loose on top, tight on the bottom. Add a cute, CLEAN pair of shoes and done.

I'll be wearing this little diddy from Forever 21 because it is the perfect place to indulge in a trend you're not sure about. And at $32.80 who cares what the CPW (cost per wear) is?
