Military jackets (considered a perma-trend like the color black, not to be confused with a perma-tan) can veer toward the extremely unsexy due to their color (dull green) and traditionally bulky, thick material. It doesn't have to be this way though. We've always loved a man in uniform so why not a woman?
Three cheers for women in the military! Though I'm sure this is not what they had in mind...

The easiest way to wear any military trend in my opinion is to contrast it with something feminine. Getting dressed follows the same age old rules of makeup. Bold lip? Leave your eyes alone. Liquid liner, false lashes, and a bold brow? Better stick with a neutral pout.
Throwing on a military jacket and don't want to look like one of the boys? Leopard booties, ruffle blouse, and a bright red skirt... not all at once please.
"YesDrillSergeant" green can also be worn casual but be careful not to make it sloppy. Again opposites provide balance. Loose on top, tight on the bottom. Add a cute, CLEAN pair of shoes and done.
I'll be wearing this little diddy from Forever 21 because it is the perfect place to indulge in a trend you're not sure about. And at $32.80 who cares what the CPW (cost per wear) is?
